Terms of use
The rules, in plain English.
The Fair Review publishes honest first-hand experiences of UK wedding fairs. These terms explain who may post, what we publish, and what to do if you think something is wrong.
Last updated 15 September 2026.
Who may leave a review
Reviews are for people who actually attended a fair — as a couple or guest, or as an exhibitor with a stand. Please do not review a fair you did not attend, a fair you organised, or a competitor’s fair.
What we ask of your review
- Describe your own experience, honestly and first-hand.
- Keep it about the fair — the organisation, the venue, the day itself.
- Do not name individual members of staff, or include anyone’s personal details.
- Do not post anything untrue, abusive, discriminatory, or unlawful.
- Do not post advertising, or reviews written in exchange for payment or any other incentive.
How moderation works
Every review is read by a person before it appears. Nothing is published automatically. We may decline to publish a review, or remove one later, at our discretion — including where we cannot satisfy ourselves that it is genuine.
Declining to publish a review is not a judgement that it is untrue. It usually means we could not verify it, or it breached the rules above.
Reviews are opinions
Published reviews are the personal opinions of the people who wrote them. They are not our opinions, and we do not adopt them or hold them out as statements of fact. We take reasonable care but cannot guarantee that any review is accurate or complete.
Fair listings
Our list of fairs is compiled from publicly available information and refreshed periodically. Dates, venues and details change, and we may get things wrong. Always check with the organiser before travelling. If a listing is inaccurate, please tell us and we will correct it.
Independence
Organisers cannot pay to have reviews removed, edited or promoted, and cannot have a fair delisted in order to remove its reviews. Where we ever have a commercial relationship with an organiser, or any other interest in a fair, we will say so plainly on the listing.
If you think something is wrong
If you are an organiser, exhibitor or supplier and a review about you is unfair, inaccurate or unlawful, please report it. We aim to acknowledge reports within five working days, and we may temporarily hide a review while we look into it. You may also ask us to publish a short right of reply.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting a review you give us permission to publish, display and store it on this site, and to edit it lightly for length, spelling or clarity. You confirm that it is your own work and your own genuine experience.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, or from decisions taken on the basis of anything published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows when they last changed.
