Report a review

Think a review is unfair? Tell us.

We would rather hear from you than have something wrong sitting on the site. Every report is read by a person, and we will always come back to you.

How to report something

Email tellus@thefairreview.co.uk with the subject “Report a review”, and tell us:

  • Which fair, and which review — quote a line from it.
  • Who you are, and your connection to the fair.
  • What is wrong with it — inaccurate, from someone who was not there, abusive, or unlawful.
  • Anything that supports that, if you have it.

What happens then

Within 5 working days

We acknowledge your report and tell you what we are doing about it.

While we look into it

If a review may be seriously inaccurate or unlawful, we may hide it from the site until we have finished.

We may go back to the reviewer to check their account of the day. We will not pass your details to them without asking you first.

We will then either leave the review up, edit it, or remove it — and we will tell you which, and why.

Right of reply

If a review stays up and you disagree with it, you can send us a short reply and we will publish it alongside. That is often more useful to couples than removing a review, because it shows how you deal with things when they go wrong.

Correcting a listing

If the date, venue or details of your fair are wrong, email us and we will fix it. No need to explain — just tell us what it should say.

Can I have my fair removed?

We list wedding fairs because they are public events, advertised publicly by the people running them. We will always correct details that are wrong, and if you have stopped running a fair, tell us and we will mark it as no longer running.

What we will not do is remove a fair, or its reviews, because you would prefer they were not there. If organisers could delete their history after a bad review, the only fairs left on the site would be the ones nobody complained about — which would make it worse than useless to the couples who rely on it.

Reviews come down when they break our rules: not genuine, not first-hand, abusive or unlawful. Never because of who they are about. If a review about you is unfair, report it above, or send us a right of reply and we will publish it alongside.
